This two day event has proven to be an enjoyable and worthwhile event for over a decade.

The sale route follows Highway 141 across beautiful west central Iowa between Des Moines on the east and Manilla on the west. The entire route is in excess of 100 miles in length. That is 100 miles of great garage sales, countless bargains, and hidden treasures just waiting to be found.

Participating communities include Mapleton, Ute, Charter Oak, Denison, Manilla, Manning, Templeton, Coon Rapids, Bayard, Bagley, Jamaica, Dawson, Perry, Bouton, Woodward, Granger & Grimes.

Vendors, Garage Sales, and Flea Markets will be found both in the towns and along the highway. Most sales start at 8:00 AM and end at their own discretion. Local community organizations and civic groups provide food and refreshments. There are over one-hundred miles of great stores and restaurants to visit as well.

People from neighboring communities are encouraged and welcome to bring their items and set up tables in some of the city parks, and with others along Highway 141, but we advise that you acquire permission from the respective communities before doing so. Last year some of the towns used the event to raise money for improvements to city parks, to build new fire halls, and other important and worthwhile community projects.

2015 marks the 13th Anniversary of the Highway 141 Sale, which seems to get bigger and better every year!
